CAPABILITIES
Bring the production problem—not just a file. The review considers function, environment, interfaces, quantity, schedule, risk, and whether additive manufacturing is the right route.
Request an Engineering Review

Industrial polymer printing
Functional prototypes, replacement components, manufacturing aids, and low-volume parts, subject to application review.
Reverse engineering
Review of physical samples, measurements, drawings, photographs, and available CAD when the original model is missing or unusable.
Design and DfAM support
Feedback on geometry, interfaces, assembly, manufacturability, and process-specific risks before production.
Jigs, fixtures, and tooling
Nests, guides, gauges, soft jaws, handling aids, guards, brackets, adapters, and other workflow-specific tools.
Prototype to repeat demand
Support for initial validation, iteration, and recurring requirements when the selected route is appropriate.
Overflow and complementary capacity
Project review for teams that already use additive manufacturing but need responsive external support.
Available additive processes may support durable functional parts, complex geometry, fixtures, and low-volume production—but no process is universal. The production route, material, finishing, inspection, and lead-time requirements are confirmed before quotation.
PROJECT-SPECIFIC REVIEW
Available processes are selected according to project requirements. Material, tolerance, inspection, finishing, production route, and lead-time requirements are confirmed before quotation. Partner-supported capacity may be used when appropriate and disclosed during project review.
Preferred information
Part function; quantity; target date; operating temperature and environment; loads; mating features; critical dimensions; material preference; inspection needs; and any known failure mode.
Useful source material
STEP or STP is preferred when editable solid geometry is available. STL, PDF drawings, photographs, sketches, dimensions, or a physical sample may support the initial review. Engineering files can be provided securely after initial contact.
Model and application review
Files are checked for completeness, manufacturability, interfaces, process fit, material suitability, and risk. Missing information is clarified before a responsible quote is issued.
When additive is not the answer
Unsuitable applications should be redirected toward machining, molding, fabrication, or another route rather than forced into an inappropriate additive process.
Part and model condition
Geometry, size, wall sections, orientation, support strategy, model repair, and required design work.
Production requirements
Material, quantity, batch utilization, color, finishing, inspection, packaging, and repeatability needs.
Application and timing
Operating risk, missing inputs, iteration, approval cycles, supplier availability, and the target date.
Send the application details and available source material. The first decision is whether the opportunity is a responsible fit.

SLS MATERIAL OPTIONS
SLS materials
These Formlabs powders are evaluated as material options for a project. Selection is based on functional requirements, geometry, finish, inspection needs, and application-specific review.
Nylon 12
Versatile general-purpose functional parts.
Nylon 12 Tough
More ductile parts with reduced warpage.
Nylon 12 White
White parts suitable for color customization.
Nylon 11
Ductile parts that need to bend or absorb impact.
Nylon 12 GF
Glass-filled stiffness and thermal stability.
Nylon 11 CF
Carbon-fiber-filled rigidity and strength.
TPU 90A
Flexible, resilient parts.
Application review
Material selection, availability, finish, and lead time are confirmed during application review. Specialized requirements, inspection, and qualifications are assessed individually before a quote.
